East Africa food crisis appeal, the impact of drought on women

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

Mercy, who works for Christian Aid partner Christian Community Services (CCS) speaks about the continuing challenges that the drought is having for people in Kenya. She explains that this is the worst drought in 60 years. The work of CCS is essential, as many people do not have any other water sources available to them. Mercy explains that it is often women who collect water, so they are particularly affected during drought periods. Finally, she thanks supporters for the generous donations that enable CCS to provide much needed food, water and livestock.
