Working as a TechMission Corps Member: A Personal Testimony
When I first came up to Boston in last September, I didn't know what to expect. I knew next-to-nothing about the site at which I was serve. All I knew was that I would be called upon to do things I had never done before. And I have. My year with TechMission Corps has been at times more challenging than I could've imagined, but I've learned to have peace about the difficulties, knowing that they're part of the Lord's plan and He will bring me through them.
I've learned, at least to an extent (I don't think anyone - or hardly anyone - has done so fully), to give up on worry, to see it to be as futile as Jesus described it to be. "Sufficient unto the day are the troubles thereof."
I admit I have not always taken delight in my work. I have sometimes thought, "Lord, just get me through this." I have counted days and counted weeks. I have dragged my feet up the stairs to my office in the morning. And yet on evenings when I look back on the accomplishments of those whom I have tutored and when I think about the skills I myself have learned, I know that all of it has been worthwhile.
