FRAMEWORK
- Author: Generally accepted to be Moses.
- Location: Egypt, Sinai Peninsula, Red Sea, Mt. Sinai.
- Key people: Moses, Aaron, Pharoah, Jethro, Miriam.
- Historical period: Begins approximately 400 years after Joseph died.
- Concepts: Each of the ten plagues sent by Israel's God, Yahweh, discredits an Egyptian god. The Passover is Israel's salvation from the final plague and is proof of God's deliverance throughout the Old Testament and until Christ's work on the cross. Notice how laws were created to ensure holiness and protect the weak.
