Christian Aid Annual Report 2010/11
Christian Aid's annual report 2010/11
In spite of the tough economic climate, Christian Aid's income in 2010/11 was £95 million, and we were able to use these funds to support over 500 partners in 47 countries.
Over the year we faced some serious challenges, responding to the devastating floods in Pakistan, continuing our recovery work in Haiti, and supporting people impacted by the Arab spring in Egypt.
We experienced change, both internally and in the world around us. Internally this was the first full year of our Director Loretta Minghella, and work also began on developing a new corporate strategy to take over from Turning Hope into Action which comes to an end in March 2011. Externally, a change in Government in the UK meant developing relationships with new MPs and building their support for our work.
Our campaigning and advocacy work continued apace, and included the launch of our Trace the Tax Campaign at the Greenbelt Festival, since which thousands of campaign actions have been undertaken.
Look out for the full report on Monday 26 September.
The Annual Report is an important opportunity for us to share our year with our donors, our sponsoring churches, and all who have supported us and our work. It is also an opportunity for us as staff to reflect on our year, looking at what we can learn, and celebrate the achievements that we have made.
On Monday we will be profiling in more detail how the report may be of use to you, but today we would like to preview the video that will be launched alongside the report on Monday.
