Tired of Suffering?
Suffering is one topic that is constantly on our minds. People everywhere seem to be suffering. We see it in foreign places, in our own neighborhoods, and even in ourselves at times. And when we encounter these situations they seem soo hard; sometimes they even seem hopeless.
But did God create us to be a hopeless people?
Absolutely not. We are made to be a people of faith, which is entirely built on hope. If you're reading this, I want you to understand that there are benefits behind suffering when we belong to God. Despite it being hard for us as Christians to watch those that defy/mock/scoff at our God "prosper" in this world sometimes, we must understand that we are running this race to gain eternal life in a place that has no suffering or illness (or has those people that are doing wrong in the sight of the Lord). (For more on this read Psalm 73). Praise God!
Some of the benefits usually entail us becoming stronger in our faith, getting to know God on a higher level, and much more.
While suffering, we must take a step back and for a quick moment see where our trial or problem might stem from. If we don't understand it, that is ok. What we must understand is that God's vision is way beyond ours. He sees much more than we could ever imagine. Therefore, what we don't see at the time of our trials might be the glory of God raining down upon us. Now, don't get this twisted- God is not a god that wants his kids to suffer to get his glory. God never inflicts suffering on us because he is for us. Illnesses and suffering are the workings of the devil and satanic forces, but God takes our sufferings and uses them to benefit us. Even more than this, Paul says in Philippians 1:21- "To live is Christ, and to die is gain". Meaning that though we experience/see suffering and death now, the eternal life with Christ that we are living to experience is so much bigger than this short life we're living now.
You've talked enough about it. So what can we do?
This discussion is not meant to belittle anyone's suffering, it's earnestly meant for you to reach out to God and ask him for guidance and healing during your trials. Our God is unable to be completely understood by us humans, so when we suffer we must come to him and ask him to reveal to us what he wants us to see. SEEK HIM! STAND ON HIS WORD! PROCLAIM YOURSELF FREE FROM SUFFERING. If it's not you suffering, decree someone else away from suffering. This thing called faith is called faith for a reason. You've got to have it, or it doesn't exist.
Yes, this is long. And there's a lot that's left out. But continue to seek out the truth for yourself and if you have any questions- I'm here to help ya out.
