Little Boy's faith uplifts his mother.

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

One of the Heaventrain staff works 3rd shift. So she usually goes home for a couple of hours to sleep and then meets us at the third stop...this is her story

I was hungry and on my way to work on Heaventrain. I went to the grocery store and picked up some cheese, bread, and mayo to make a sandwich. After I got back in my car..I thought to myself..that was stupid I don't even like CHEESE!

I was early to the third stop and there was already a long line of kids waiting for Heaventrain. I sat in my car and waited..suddenly a little boy (about five years old) knocked on my car window. He asked me, "Did I miss the blue bus?" I told him no and he went back to get in line. Shortly, he was back , "Are you sure I didn't miss the Heaventrain? and then he said, "I haven't eaten in three days and neither have my brothers and sisters, my momma said that Heaventrain is the only chance we might be able to eat this week." The staff immediately took the bread, cheese, and mayo and gave it to the little boy to take to his home.

In a little while the little boy's mother came up to me and said that last night the little boy had gathered all of the family around and prayed for some food."  The mother said, "I couldn't pray with him because I didn't want to give him hope because I didn't know where we were going to get food," and then she said, "Thank you for letting him see that God answered his prayer and restoring my faith."
