It depends on you

I was running on the track in my hometown when the holy ghost TOTALLY caught my attention. A question popped into my mind and made me stop right where I was (looking a little crazy, but hey, that's how it happens sometimes). The question was- "What if it all depends on you?".

I had just got done reading a book by the annointed pastor, John Piper, called- 'Don't Waste Your Life' (highly recommended for those of you who are striving to seek our Daddy) and he had plagued me with the fact that approximately one sixth of our world has no clue about Jesus. After reading that, I was feeling a little down. I started thinking that my little efforts to build up The Kingdom probably wouldn't matter, but now I stood in the middle of my run thinking in another light. What if I, or maybe YOU, were the key to breaking open the gates of Heaven. I'm not trying to compare you or myself to Jesus, because we are His servents and deserve NOOOOO praise ever, but what if we stood before God and he said something like- "Thanks child of mine; You were the last piece of the puzzle. With you it is finished." .. and then the gates of heaven open???

I know it sounds like a stretch, but imagine it. If this were/is the case, we might be more eager to give to the homeless, to argue less with our family members, to speak up when something isn't right, to speak the Gospel with more joy, or truly step out of our comfort zone.

What I'm getting at is that no matter where you stand right now, you are a piece of God's grandiose puzzle. Let no man lie to you or as Paul said it- "Let God be true, and every man a liar" (Romans 3:4). Everything you do makes a difference, because God has a plan for you. Don't believe me? Even God says so in Proverbs 23:18- "There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off" .

I pray that we can all grow to understand that we are planting seeds in other's hearts every day and that we have the ability to make a HUGE impact at all times. So stay juiced up in the word.. and God will definitely be using you.

Who knows but God, you might be that one piece the puzzle desperately needs in order to be complete.
