Shalom Theology and the Integration of Suffering and Celebration
In our urban context, we see suffering all around us. How do we develop a Biblical, theological response to the reality of suffering? This workshop draws from Walter Brueggemann’s paradigms (found in his landmark work Shalom), and explores the distinction between the theology of suffering and the theology of celebration in order to understand the Christological redemptive value of suffering in our world.
