by Chris Heuertz
Talk presented Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Urban Youth Workers Institute Conference 2008.

Description

The greatest commandment is love. Love will never fail, but how much time do we spend truly loving others with our lives? Chris’ life and ministry is an inspiration to this love, visible through his global work with refugees, orphans of war, women trapped in prostitution, sex trafficking and building many other incarnational communities to the poorest of the poor.

About the Speaker

Twenty-year-old Chris Heuertz arrived in the Middle East to study local language and culture, never dreaming that what he would see would so drastically change his life. Over the last 16 years, Chris and Phileena, his wife have traveled various countries working with the poorest of the poor, children with AIDS, prostituted women and girls, recovering drug addicts, unreached people, and refugees. WMF has expanded into eight other countries in South Asia, South America, and Africa where they partner with local aid organizations, local churches, and local Christians.
